A Closer Look: Evaluations
What do you think - do evaluations impact sustained performance?
NOTE: Registration required by October 10th at noon!
From training evaluations to performance evaluations, a lot of effort is spent on them in most companies. But how can we be sure all this energy achieves desired results?
Dan Johnson will facilitate a lively discussion, viewing evaluations from multiple perspectives.
First, one of the latest trends in workplaces today is abolishing performance evaluations yet still awarding merit increases to employees. Is this a good idea? What are organizations doing? How is it working? How do organizations track performance (if at all) and make merit decisions?
Second, we will look at training evaluations. How do training evaluations impact sustained improvement in workplace performance? Has anyone read Will Thalheimer's book, Performance-Focused Smile Sheets: A Radical Rethinking of a Dangerous Art Form? If so, what have been the results?
Bring your ideas and join us for what is sure to be an informative and interesting discussion.
